If you cut and cuts are often very short, should be no problem to leave it in the grass. Which decompose and become a source of nitrogen to the lawn. If the blade is too long, can kill grass. Better to bag clippings. Once the grass is dying in the fall, the leaves can be cut with a lawnmower and on the ground as fertilizer or in bags and plants, fertilizer to its left set.
